The amazing fabric discoveries and developments are used by the designer Paul Harvey to create key pieces for Stone Island that become true collectors items.

Stone Island owes its continuous success to research and innovation both in the construction and details of the finished garments and in exclusive materials developed through a tight co-operation with a few fabric producers.

- Waterproof rubberised, military cotton satin (Raso Gommato)
- Nylam (waterproof, run-proof nylon jersey laminated to semi-stretch nylon webbing)
- Monobava II (4 ply water resistant shell, inner lay is mono filament nylon net with a polyurethane coating on both sides)
Sportswear Company has always been investing in technology and research. It’s experimental dyeing and printing facility has been conceived since the beginning to research all the possibilities of high quality garment dyeing in order to achieve, through this technique, unique colourings (up to 6 colours on one single garment) and finishes.
A specific research on function and use in clothing has investigated more than 40,000 pieces of garments coming from the military and work wear.
