JEFFERY WEST

If you want a classic English shoe, there’s so many to choose from, whereas if you choose Jeffery West, you’re still buying manufacturing history, but it’s with their own handwriting, twist, and slant on it. Jeffery West’s latest collection is now available to buy from John Anthony. Look out for the Escoba boot and shoe versions in tan, black and burgundy this season.

JEFFERY WEST HISTORY

From the outset Jeffery-West’s intention was to embody all the craftsmanship, quality, and pedigree available in having shoes manufactured by world famous Northampton factories with hundreds of years of experience. From this sound base, they began welt cutting edgy styles with overt elegance, fulsome flamboyance, developing innovative new lasts, and utilising an array of leathers and colours, using imagination all too often lacking in men’s shoes. There are those that have criticised Jeffery-West for seeming to play fast and loose with tradition, but as co-founder Guy West says, “You do get people who turn their nose up at us a bit because we’re making shoes in Northampton, but they’re not the traditional toe-cap Oxford, or classic brogue, but why on earth would we want to try to be the same as a multitude of classic English shoemakers? They’re already doing it. If you want a classic English shoe, there’s so many to choose from, whereas if you come to us you’re still buying that manufacturing history, but it’s with our handwriting, our twist, our slant on it.” Jeffery West latest collection is now available to buy from John Anthony.
