Thomas A Hill founded Sunspel in 1860, with a revolutionary idea to make simple, everyday clothing from beautiful fabrics, which soon established Sunspel as a pioneer in British craftsmanship. In 2005 the company was bought by Nicholas Brooke and Dominic Hazlehurst. Both of whom understand the importance of preserving traditional techniques and updating them with a modern sensibility. In 2006, Sunspel were commissioned to design a series of polo shirts for 007 and with that in mind they reconfigured their unique Q75 fabric to create the Riviera polo shirt, as worn by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. Their innovative materials have been worn by polar explorers, mountaineers and even the armed forces. The quality and design of Sunspel products is both unchanging and revolutionary.
