Comme des Garçons PLAY

Comme des Garçons was launched in 1969 by the famously elusive and private Rei Kawakubo. She opened her first boutique in '73 in Toyko's Minami-Aoyama district. Rarely photographed or interviewed, Kawakubo remains one of the most influential and sought after designers in the world, eagerly followed by loyal customers and industry heavyweights, Comme des Garçons is best known for continually pushing the boundaries of mens and women’s fashion, fragrance, accessories and it’s concept store, Dover Street Market. Comme des Garçons Play has become arguably one of the most recognisable lines from Comme. Featuring the instantly recognisable Heart logo, originally designed by Polish artist Filip Pagowski for Kawakubo in the 80s - Play is a programme of made in Japan t-shirts, sweatshirts and iconic trainers via their ongoing collaboration with Converse.
