A graduate of both Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art London, Neil Barrett debuted his namesake label in 2000 at Pitti Uomo. Upon finishing University, Barrett was recruited by GUCCI where he worked as Senior Men's Designer. After 5 years he approached the Prada CEO with a proposal to start a men's line; 8 months later Prada menswear was born. Neil Barrett has been hugely influential to the world of menswear, and in 1999 he founded his own line. His approach to fashion is to keep it minimal, using luxury fabrics but combining it with high tech sportswear. Masculine, ageless and progessive designs, Neil Barrett chose to strengthen his production by basing it in Tuscany where 85% of the collections are made.
