Terms & Conditions


In the following Terms And Conditions "us" or “we” will refer to John Anthony (Swindon) Ltd, and "you" will refer to the details you have provided in the order form. A contract will be formed between us and you once payment has been deducted from the debit/credit card you provided.

We are following all government guidance to ensure the safety of our customers and staff.

Once you have placed your order you will be contacted by email to confirm whether the items are in stock. If the items are in stock and available at the price stated your order will be processed. Please ensure all details provided in your order form are correct.

Discount codes may be used on a single online transaction before the expiry date. They are only valid on online at www.john-anthony.com and not through our high street stores and cannot be combined with any other offer, against items reduced in sale, or against the purchase of gift vouchers. If goods are returned for a refund, the code cannot be used against another transaction. The code may be withdrawn at any time by John Anthony. Some codes may have other conditions, for example it may only be applied to an order in excess of £75, excludes clearance / sale products, gift vouchers, certain brands, seasons and is only valid online. Unique promo codes are restricted to a single transaction, often have brand exclusions and cannot be used on sale items. Please take note of the exclusions and end date which will be included in the discount code email.

We always aim to despatch your order as quickly as possible. Orders placed before 1.00pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank holidays) are likely to be sent out the same working day. All orders placed after 1.00pm will not be processed until the next working day, this includes orders where 'Next day Delivery' has been chosen. All orders placed after 1.00pm on Fridays will not be processed until Monday morning (Tuesday on Bank Holidays). Most UK orders will be delivered to you within 48 hours. Items are shipped brand new and in mint condition.
Subject to availability, cleared funds and verified address we endeavour to deliver your order as quickly as possible. For full details, please view our Delivery Information page.
At certain times of the year we may offer Free International Delivery. The shipping fee will be automatically deducted at checkout when this offer is live. Please note that clearance and sale items are excluded from the free international delivery promotion.
Please note if there are any discrepancies with the delivery of your order, we cannot offer a refund or replacement until we have a successful claim from Royal Mail or the courier service used. Once an order has left our warehouse, it is in the custody of the postal/ courier service where delays or missing parcels are out of our hands. We will of course do everything we can by following the claims and investigation procedures set out by these services.

Orders placed from outside of the UK may be subject to import duties and taxes. These are levied when the delivery reaches its specific destination and you will be responsible for the payment of any such duties and taxes.

All funds will be deducted from your debit/credit card before goods are dispatched. We will not be responsible for delays in delivery due to your card issuer not authorising the transaction. John Anthony Click & Collect service is a complimentary free service available for any purchase made at www.john-anthony.com to be collected from any of our stores. Orders placed using this service will be treated as a UK order, thus including VAT. The Click & Collect service has an estimated delivery time of 2 - 5 working days. This will depend on the day and time the order was placed, and the location of the collection.
Once the order has been placed you will receive an order confirmation email, stating the location of the store which has been selected for this service. When the order has arrived at the chosen store, you will receive another email notifying you that the order is ready to collect. All orders will be kept in store for 7 days from the collection date, after that it will be returned to our warehouse and the total value will be refunded to the payment service used when ordering.
When collecting your order proof of ID and a copy of your order confirmation must be provided. A valid driving license or passport with the same name as stated on the order or the debit / credit card used to purchase is accepted. You don’t need a printed copy of the order confirmation, showing the email on a mobile / tablet is accepted. You will be asked to sign for the order upon collection. We will always endeavour to get your order ready for collection within the estimated timescale, however due to unforeseen circumstances delays may occasionally occur. We will always keep you informed as to when your order will be delivered to store.
COVID-19 UPDATE: To minimise contact we will be signing the order confirmation on the customer's behalf. You'll be shown it and asked if it's all correct, and then the member of staff will sign it whilst in your presence. Staff are following all government guidance to ensure we keep our customers and staff safe.

If using a Gift Card to pay for your order, please keep your Gift Card safe until you’ve received your order and are happy with it. Any items returned will be credited back onto the original gift card. No new gift cards can be distributed.
Any items returned which were paid for in full using a Gift Card, will be credited back onto the original Gift Card. No new Gift Cards can be distributed. If you have used a gift card as part payment, the value paid on debit  /  credit card will be refunded back onto the original debit   / credit card.   Any balance will then be returned to the Gift Card.  We are unable to refund more than what was paid onto any method of payment, other than a Gift Card. A gift card will expire 12 months after the last transaction, any balance remaining will not be refunded nor can it be exchanged for cash

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase we are happy to exchange or give a full refund within 14 days of receipt of goods. Please return the item(s) to us in their original condition complete with labels intact. Footwear boxes are classed as part of the product so must be returned in the original condition (with no tape or stickers attached) - we sugguest packaging it well so that the box cannot get damaged in transit. We will inspect the item(s) and will issue a refund or process an exchange on the day of receipt of goods. Full details of our Returns Process can be found here.
Refund timescales may vary so please allow up to 7 working days for the refund to appear on your credit card or bank statement. We are not responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty or we despatched the wrong item to you. We strongly recommend for security reasons, when sending items back you use a 'signed for' delivery service, Royal Mail Recorded or Special Delivery for example, and ensure the package is adequately insured. We are not liable for any packages lost in the post and do not accept responsibility for any item(s) until a member of our staff has signed for the package. Any items returned which do not comply with the returns policy will be sent back at your cost and will not be accepted for a refund until the conditions have been met. This will not affect your statutory rights.
Underwear Returns
Items should be returned new, unused and garment tags still attached. Underwear and swimwear should be tried on over underwear. If you wish to return underwear or swimwear please do not remove the original wrapping for hygiene reasons.

The only warranties available would be those supplied by the manufacturer.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 & GDPR). For online payment security we use SagePay, PayPal & Stripe (for Apple Pay & Google Pay) payment processing interfaces. SagePay, PayPal & Stripe meets and maintains all security and transaction processing software standards (PCI-DSS). All traffic on our website is fully encrypted using strong SHA-256 with RSA Encryption from Thawte, powered by DigiCert Inc. This means you can be confident that all your details including name, address, email and credit/debit card details (if these apply to you) will be encrypted and therefore only seen by fully trained employees of John Anthony (Swindon) Ltd. We ensure none of your details will be passed on to any other 3rd parties, and all information is collected in accordance with the data protection act of 1998 & GDPR. Cookies are used on our ecommerce website to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item & checkout pages. This information is collected for two reasons, to provide the best service we can for our customers and also to enable us to process your order correctly. If you receive any marketing e-mails from us there will be an unsubscribe facility for you to request that no further marketing e-mail is sent to you from us. We will collect no information which could be classed as sensitive about you unless this is given with your explicit consent. We will endeavour to ensure that all information held is accurate and up to date. Any of this information can be checked by e-mailing us ([email protected]). Any inaccuracies found by you will be corrected as soon as possible. All personal information held by us is kept securely in accordance with UK law and our internal security policies. Occasionally we may decide to track how our site is being accessed and monitor the different uses made of the information on our site by individuals. Technology to do this may include a cookie which would be stored in your browser. Your browser can be modified to prevent this happening should you so wish. You can be identified anonymously by the use of this technique and the information it collects but not if your browser settings have been modified.

If you return an item for a full refund where you have redeemed points, the points will also be refunded back into your loyalty account. Please note that when an order is returned where postage has been paid for, only the value of the item will be refunded and the postage will be taken from the points redeemed. For example, if you spend £100 on one item then upgrade your delivery for £5, making the total £105. If you then redeem £10 worth of loyalty points, you will only pay £95. If this item is then returned for a refund, £95 will go back onto your card and the £5 delivery cost will be taken from your loyalty account. The remaining points will be refunded back into your loyalty account. This is an online only loyalty scheme, there is a separate one for store purchases. You cannot redeem or gain points online to be used in store, and vice versa. Points are only earned on online transactions placed after the 11th September 2019 & you have registered to join the scheme prior to placing your order.

John Anthony (Swindon) Ltd reserves the right to change prices and specifications without prior notice. Colours are as accurate as the website, photography and user hardware allows. All contracts will be governed by the laws of England. By using this website you agree to the above terms and conditions. If for some reason you do not agree with all the terms and conditions you must not use this website.

If you buy online or by phone under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order if you so wish, provided within 14 days from the day after the day which goods come into your physical possession or the person you asked for the goods to be delivered to.

To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel your contract by a clear statement, including details of your name, geographical address, details of the order you wish to cancel and, where available, your phone number and email address. You should return the goods to us at your cost within 14 days of the cancellation and we will refund the full value of your order, including shipping costs (except for the supplementary costs arising if you have choose a type of delivery other than the standard and least expensive method of delivery) , by the method used to pay the original transaction within 14 days.
